We\’re currently looking for a male Support Worker to join our team in Ampthill, supporting three men across two homes. This is a full-time and part-time roles of up to 37.5 hours a week, working a range of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays.
About the People You\’ll Support
You\’ll be supporting *David, *Stephen, and *Simon, who are in their forties and fifties. They each lead active, varied lives shaped by their individual personalities and preferences.

  • David is a huge music fan – especially Metallica and Belinda Carlisle.
  • Simon enjoys his daily shopping trips and never misses his regular bingo club.
  • Stephen is passionate about airplanes, with the Duxford Air Show being a highlight of his year.

Like all of us, they have good days and days that are more difficult. On those days, you will be trained to notice the subtle signs that someone might be struggling and to respond with kindness and confidence.

This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role where no two days are the same. You will:

  • Provide consistent, person-centred support across daily routines and meaningful activities.
  • Build trusting relationships and really get to know what matters to each person.
  • Work as part of a close-knit team committed to MacIntyre\’s values and the people we support.
  • Contribute to a calm, supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and independence.

You will also work alongside families, colleagues and professionals to make sure the support is just right – always shaped by what\’s important to each person.

You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.

Training and Development
