Are you looking for a way to earn extra income on your schedule? Maybe you\’re considering a career as a Support Worker and want to gain some more experience? We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Relief Support Worker in Ampthill that may be just what you\’re looking for!
Our relief roles offer flexibility, allowing your work with us to fit around your lifestyle. You\’ll receive the same training and professional qualifications as our permanent staff, and these roles are designed to work for you. With over 95% of our staff in permanent positions, we\’re here to support you if you consider a permanent position down the line. You\’ll be supporting *David, *Stephen, and *Simon, who are in their forties and fifties. They each lead active, varied lives shaped by their individual personalities and preferences.

  • David is a huge music fan – especially Metallica and Belinda Carlisle.
  • Simon enjoys his daily shopping trips and never misses his regular bingo club.
  • Stephen is passionate about airplanes, with the Duxford Air Show being a highlight of his year.

Like all of us, they have good days and days that are more difficult. On those days, you will be trained to notice the subtle signs that someone might be struggling and to respond with kindness and confidence.

About you
Of course we welcome you if you\’ve been a care assistant or support worker, but experience isn\’t necessary. If you share our values, are warm, friendly and willing to learn, you\’re likely to be a great fit.

Training and Development
At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
But it doesn\’t stop there – throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams. These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities – all free of charge.
