Waking Nights Support Worker – Children's Residential Home

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Hours: 38 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)

Driving: Must hold a UK manual driving licence

We are looking for a Waking Nights Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team at our children's residential home in Leighton Buzzard. In this rewarding role, you will provide overnight support to children and young people aged 11 to 19 who have autism and severe learning disabilities, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and comfortable throughout the night.

About the Role

As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a calm and secure environment during the night. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting young people with their evening routines and settling for bedtime
  • Carrying out regular overnight checks to ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support during the night
  • Assisting with personal care when required
  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Recording relevant information and communicating effectively with the wider team

Training and Development

At MacIntyre we fully support your training and development.
