Deputy Manager – Lifelong Learning Centre, Oxfordshire

About the role

We're looking for a passionate, driven Deputy Manager to join our Lifelong Learning Centre in Oxfordshire and help us deliver an outstanding service for the people we support.

You’ll work alongside the Frontline Manager to lead the day-to‑day running of the centre, supporting, coaching and inspiring your team while ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do. It's a role with real variety and real impact: one day you might be shaping person‑centred plans and building community connections, the next you're mentoring a new starter, managing a budget, or stepping up to deputise for your manager.

What you'll be doing

• Leading, coaching and supervising a team of support staff, helping them grow and deliver excellent, person‑centred support
• Ensuring the people we support are treated with dignity, respect and equality, and are supported to build meaningful relationships and community connections
• Taking a leading role in quality, compliance and regulatory excellence (CQC and beyond)
• Managing rotas, budgets and resources to keep the service running smoothly
• Deputising for the Frontline Manager and stepping up when needed
• Building strong, trusted relationships with families, colleagues and external partners

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism, or in a related field
• Proven experience leading, coaching or supervising a team
• A track record of delivering person‑centred, co‑produced support
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
• Experience managing budgets and resources
• A current driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and on‑call as required

About you

• You’ve spent time supporting people with learning disabilities or autism, and it’s shaped how you work
• You’re a natural leader – someone who brings out the best in others and helps them grow
• You believe people should be at the centre of every decision made about their lives
• You’re organised and a clear communicator, comfortable with the IT side of the job too
• You’re practical and resourceful, happy juggling budgets alongside day‑to‑day support
• You hold a full driving licence and don’t mind getting behind the wheel for work
