Looking for a worthwhile job with the hours that work for you? We are looking for a Learning Support Worker, to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and the occasional weekend. We normally plan the rotas one month in advance, but additional opportunities also come up due to unexpected staff absences.
Responsibilities
This is a varied role in which you will support people to attend our learning centre in Kennington, Oxfordshire as well as provide one-to-one support out in the community. You will lead a weekly dance session for a group of people passionate about dance, collaborate with other community dance groups and use social media to showcase achievements at the learning centre and in the local area. Other day-to-day activities may include supported employment, arts and crafts, snooker, baking, drama, music, dance, horticulture; the list is endless. You should bring your own creative hobbies to share – dance, visual art, sports, gardening, or music.
About you
Experience is not essential. People often join from hospitality or retail. We look for passion, drive, and willingness to learn. You should be able to commit to full-time, part-time, or relief shifts, and have flexibility for daytime, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Have a UK manual driving licence; learners like to be on the move.
