If you’re someone who is passionate about developing people, enjoys seeing others succeed and wants to be part of an ambitious and forward-thinking Learning & Development team, we’d love to hear from you.

Why This Role Matters

Every great practitioner starts with great support and learning. In this role, you’ll help colleagues develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.

You’ll be instrumental in creating positive learning experiences, supporting career development and ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet the highest professional standards.

Working within a collaborative and innovative Learning & Development team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence learning, inspire achievement and contribute to the ongoing success of our organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Tutor/Assessor, you will:

  • Support colleagues through a comprehensive six‑month induction programme, helping them build a strong foundation for success.

  • Design and deliver engaging, effective and learner‑centred development programmes.

  • Mentor, coach and assess learners undertaking the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care.

  • Inspire confidence and support learners to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

  • Monitor learner progress, celebrate achievements and provide constructive feedback that encourages continued development.

  • Play a key role in creating a positive and rewarding learning journey for every learner.

  • How You’ll Make an Impact

Using a blended approach to learning and assessment, you’ll deliver high-quality support through:

  • Face‑to‑face workshops and learning sessions

  • Virtual delivery via Microsoft Teams

  • One‑to‑one coaching and tutoring

  • Workplace observations

  • Interactive group learning activities

You’ll also build strong relationships with managers, learners and colleagues, ensuring everyone has the support they need to achieve success.

Alongside delivery, you’ll contribute to quality assurance processes, maintain accurate records and support a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across learning programmes.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • A qualified Assessor holding a TAQA Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

  • Experienced in delivering vocational qualifications and supporting adult learners.

  • Passionate about helping people develop and achieve their potential.

  • Skilled in designing and delivering impactful learning experiences.

  • Knowledgeable about awarding organisations and quality assurance requirements.

  • An excellent communicator who can build positive relationships and inspire learners.

  • Adaptable, organised and committed to providing an outstanding learner experience.

  • Passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where everyone can thrive.

  • A full UK driving licence holder with access to a reliable vehicle.

Why Join MacIntyre?
