Join Orchard Community Trust (OCT), a values‑led multi‑academy trust committed to excellence, inclusion and strong community partnerships. We are seeking a skilled and motivated class teacher to cover a maternity leave at Kemball School from September 2026 until July 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • The teacher will deliver an adapted Key Stage 1 curriculum to pupils with cognitive and learning difficulties, supporting them across four bespoke pathways.
  • Daily lessons in maths, English, phonics, reading and writing will be planned and delivered, while new initiatives are implemented to enhance the progression pathway.
  • The role also involves observing lessons, participating in assessments, collaborating with the pathway lead and contributing to the school's CPD programme.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience teaching pupils with learning difficulties (special school experience preferred).
  • Knowledge or understanding of Key Stage 1 primary curriculum.
  • ECT status is welcomed.
  • Willingness to undertake CPD and further professional development.
