Prince Henry’s is an over-subscribed comprehensive school with over 1660 students, including around 350 in the Sixth Form. Job Description
Post: MPS/UPS, Fixed Term until May 2027 (or return of the post-holder), FTE 0.8, Required September 2026.
Prince Henry’s are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Physical Education and Sport who is keen to motivate students, build confidence, and make learning engaging. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty currently comprising 6 specialist teachers including a Primary PE Coordinator plus a Lifeguard/Technician, working to provide a varied, stimulating curriculum. This post would be suited to an ECT or a more experienced candidate.
Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education to KS3 and KS4 Core Physical Education.
- Motivate students, build confidence, and promote high standards of achievement and self-esteem.
- Contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking faculty with a varied curriculum.
- Engage in professional development opportunities as part of the school’s CPL framework.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Degree or other appropriate qualification in Physical Education.
- Successful teaching and ITT record or successful and productive teaching practice.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum at KS3 in PE.
- Ability to challenge and motivate students, promoting and reinforcing their self-esteem.
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Core Physical Education.
