Job Description
Cornwallis Academy is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who will make a positive impact on our students' learning. The role is Monday‑Friday 08:00‑15:00, 32.5 hours per week, working term‑time only (38 weeks per year).
Responsibilities
- Take whole‑class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher
- Develop curricular knowledge as required by the school
- Apply the school’s Behaviour Management Policy
- Set homework previously prepared by the teacher
- Observe students and contribute to student records
- Cover all subjects as a floating teacher
- Participate in development and training opportunities as they arise
We look for strong candidates with a high level of initiative, excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm. Candidates must be able to work constructively as a team, establish rapport with young people and be flexible.
