Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Insurance Broker role based in Musselburgh. The Commercial Insurance Broker will advise business clients on suitable insurance products, assess risk profiles, and arrange appropriate cover across a range of commercial lines. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing client accounts, responding to inquiries, preparing quotations, negotiating terms with insurers, and ensuring timely policy renewals and adjustments. The role involves collaborating with underwriting partners, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing high-quality customer service throughout the policy lifecycle. The successful candidate will also contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to deepen existing relationships and attract new commercial clients.
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance Brokerage and Insurance knowledge, with experience placing commercial policies for business clients.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including the ability to build trust, handle queries efficiently, and manage client expectations.
- Experience or familiarity with Underwriting principles, including risk assessment and evaluation of coverage terms.
- Account Management skills, with the ability to oversee policy renewals, adjustments, and ongoing client communication.
- Relevant industry certifications or professional qualifications (e.g., CII or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency in using insurance and CRM systems, along with solid general IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
