Macildowie are working with this client based in Warwick to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an office-based role within a successful and well-established business, reporting to the UK Finance Manager.
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
The Role
- You will play a key role within a friendly and supportive finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.
- Processing and coding approximately 250-300 supplier invoices per week.
- Statement reconciliations and chasing outstanding invoices.
- Processing company credit cards using a newly implemented system.
- Bank reconciliations and assisting with ad hoc treasury and month-end reporting.
- Covering sales ledger duties, including creation of accounts and debtor reporting, when required.
- This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to grow, with exposure to additional areas such as VAT returns, debtors' reporting, and bank reconciliations once settled.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger/accounts payable role.
- Good Excel skills and understanding of best financial practice.
- AAT Level 2/3 desirable but not essential.
