Are you passionate about ensuring the quality of software and excited to be hands-on in a collaborative environment? We're working with a growing technology business that is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join their close-knit team.
This is a fully onsite role in a modern, welcoming office environment – perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, team-based setting. If you're seeking stability, professional growth, and the chance to be part of a business where quality really matters, this could be the right move for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and executing test plans and scripts to ensure software performs as intended.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs, working closely with developers to see issues through to resolution.
- Carrying out regression testing to ensure fixes don't impact existing functionality.
- Collaborating across QA and development teams to continuously improve quality standards.
- Testing APIs using tools like Postman and contributing to best practices in this space.
- Providing feedback to enhance software usability and overall user experience.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in manual software testing or quality assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and execution.
- Experience using API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in an office environment.
- Any exposure to automation (or desire to develop into it) would be a huge plus.
Nice-to-have skills:
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other automation frameworks.
- Experience with Jira and Xray for managing test cases and executions.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Why apply?
- Career growth – while the role starts in manual testing, you'll have the chance to learn and move into automation.
- Brilliant working environment – modern offices designed for collaboration, not isolation.
- Rewards – competitive salary (£35k-£45k), company bonus scheme, and a benefits package that supports your wellbeing and development.
