Job Description

Software Quality Assurance Analyst / Software Testing Analyst

  • Hybrid (Glasgow)2 days onsite
  • Permanent Role
  • Salary £30,500 – £32,000

Are you passionate about quality, detail, and making sure software works exactly as it should? We're looking for a hands-on Software Quality Assurance Analyst / Software Testing Analyst to join a friendly, supportive, and growing software business on a permanent basis.

This is primarily a manual testing role – so we need someone who loves getting into the detail, exploring systems, and making sure issues are spotted before our customers ever see them. That said, if you've got an awareness of automation or an interest in developing those skills, there's real scope for you to grow into automation testing down the line as the role evolves.

It's a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build their testing career and develop into a well-rounded QA professional within a collaborative team, where your contribution will directly impact the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions.

You'll be joining a company that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement – and has even been recognised as a Great Place to Work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and executing test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
  • Performing functional, regression, and system testing.
  • Reporting defects and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensuring applications meet business requirements and provide an excellent user experience.
  • Supporting automation testing where possible, with opportunities to grow your skills in this area over time.
  • Getting hands-on with installations, upgrades, and configuration testing.

What we're looking for:

  • Some experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of testing best practices and the software development lifecycle.
  • Great attention to detail, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • ISTQB/ISEB foundation certificate and exposure to automation tools are a bonus – but not essential.

What's on offer:

  • £30,500 – £32,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid working (2 days onsite in Glasgow, 3 days WFH).
  • 30 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Company pension, life assurance, sick pay, and income protection.
  • Private health & dental (optional).
  • Performance-related bonus scheme.
  • Ongoing training & development opportunities.
  • A genuinely welcoming, supportive, and people-first culture.

If you're looking for a role where you can develop your testing career, gain valuable hands-on experience, and grow into automation in the future, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your QA journey.
