The Role

Reporting into the finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial analysis and commercial insight across the business, acting as a trusted finance business partner to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner across both finance and non-finance teams
  • Producing meaningful management information and commercial reporting
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Delivering detailed variance analysis and performance commentary
  • Developing project costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting
  • Supporting improvements in financial controls and reporting processes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and continuous improvement
  • Contributing towards the ongoing development of the finance function
  • Building strong relationships across the business to provide commercial challenge and support informed decision-making

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys adding value beyond traditional reporting. You'll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong management accounting experience
  • Experience of finance business partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience of project costing, stock accounting or WIP reporting
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process enhancement
