Macildowie are working with a leading client based in Birmingham to recruit a Sales Manager, who would be responsible for looking after Growth Account Managers within an established organisation operating in the B2B sustainability space. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial people manager who is passionate about developing high-performing sales teams and driving customer growth.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping a best‑in‑class inside sales function, leading a team responsible for maximising revenue from an existing SME customer portfolio. The successful candidate will build a culture of accountability, coaching and continuous improvement, while ensuring customers receive an outstanding experience throughout their journey.

The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Head of Inside Sales, you'll lead a team of Growth Account Managers focused on:
    • Driving revenue growth through upselling and cross‑selling
    • Improving customer retention and reducing churn
    • Managing contract renewals
    • Delivering accurate forecasting and pipeline management
    • Developing commercial capability through coaching and training
    • Embedding best practice across account planning and customer engagement

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Operations, Customer Service, Marketing and Product teams to continuously improve customer outcomes and commercial performance.

About You

  • We're looking for an experienced commercial leader with:
    • Previous experience managing B2B Account Management, Customer Success or Inside Sales teams
    • A proven track record of coaching and improving sales performance
    • Strong knowledge of customer retention and revenue growth strategies
    • Experience managing sales pipelines and forecasting
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
    • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
    • A proactive, data‑driven and collaborative leadership style
