Macildowie are working with a Leicester-based organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their busy payroll team on an initial temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running. You’ll be supporting a team of three and helping process three payrolls covering over 1,000 employees, ensuring all payroll activities are completed accurately and on time.
The Role
- Support the end-to-end payroll process, including:
- Processing starters, leavers and payroll amendments
- Inputting and checking payroll data
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and month-end activities
- Assisting with pensions administration and auto-enrolment
- Handling payroll queries from employees
- Ensuring payroll records and documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Supporting compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice
What We’re Looking For
- Previous payroll experience processing large payrolls
- Strong understanding of payroll administration and payroll legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - these are essential
- Confident working to tight deadlines in a busy environment
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Experience using MHR iTrent is highly desirable
