NQ Solicitor - Legal Disciplinary Officer
Location: Loughborough (Hybrid; 3x a week onsite - with free parking)
Salary: Above Market Rate
Hours: 9am-5pm; Full-Time (Would Consider 4 Days a Week / Pro-Rata)
Overview
We are currently partnered with a fantastic, national sporting governing body in England. They are currently looking for a Disciplinary Officer to join the business- the role will sit within a large, friendly team committed to trusted welfare and safeguarding.
This is an extremely unique opportunity for someone with legal or regulatory experience to contribute to the integrity and fairness of sport.
Role and Responsibilities
This role is ideal for a legal professional or investigator with experience managing cases, preparing bundles, and advocating at hearings. You'll play a key part in upholding standards through fair, transparent, and efficient disciplinary processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing formal "Judicial Complaints" following safeguarding or serious misconduct investigations
- Reviewing case material and compiling evidence bundles for panel hearings
- Managing the complaints process
- Conducting non-safeguarding misconduct investigations and preparing written reports
- Representing at hearings and panel meetings in line with the Judicial and Safeguarding Regulations
- Working collaboratively with safeguarding and judicial teams to maintain and improve disciplinary procedures
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong legal or regulatory background who is passionate about fairness and integrity in sport. Experience in safeguarding is helpful, but not essential, as this role focuses on the legal and procedural elements of disciplinary matters.
- Experience managing cases and preparing legal bundles
- Advocacy experience at internal or external hearings
- Strong investigation skills, including report writing and recommendations
- Experience in providing witness care and support
You'll need to be a confident communicator, highly organised, and comfortable handling sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
