Our client is looking for an organised and motivated Office Administrator to join their growing and fast-paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and can confidently support the day-to-day operations of both the transport and warehouse departments. The successful candidate will work closely with the Logistics Manager, providing administrative and operational support across a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking transport jobs and scheduling deliveries
  • Planning and allocating drivers and vehicles
  • Booking loads in and out of the warehouse
  • Processing driver timesheets
  • Using telematics and tachograph analysis software
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Pricing jobs using internal booking systems
  • Ensuring monthly purchase orders are received and processed
  • Carrying out general office administration duties

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

This role includes participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends. This is currently approximately once per month, although this may change. An additional payment of £250 per month is provided for on-call duties.
