Position: Marketing Assistant
Location: Nottingham (on-site with hybrid flexibility considered)
Hourly rate: £14.40 - £17 per hour (equivalent to £28,000 - £33,000 annually)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 6-month temporary role with strong potential to become permanent
Join a well-established, fast-paced retail business based in Nottingham with a strong and increasing presence both in-store and online. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded Marketing Assistant with 2-5 years' experience to support and deliver a variety of marketing initiatives across digital and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, execution, and reporting of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social media, web, print)
- Coordinate the creation and scheduling of content across platforms, working with in-house designers and external agencies
- Manage website updates, product launches, and campaign landing pages (using CMS platforms like Shopify or WordPress)
- Assist in the execution and analysis of email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp or similar)
- Monitor and report on social media engagement, web traffic, and campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics
- Support the Marketing Manager with competitor research, customer insights, and trend tracking
- Help plan and deliver in-store promotional materials, events, and POS campaigns
- Liaise with internal teams including buying, ecommerce, and sales to align marketing activity with business goals
What we need from you:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a generalist marketing role, ideally within retail, consumer goods, or ecommerce
- Ideally Degree-level (Marketing, Business or similar) or qualified through years of experience.
- Confident managing and executing campaigns across multiple channels
- Strong communication and copywriting skills
- Proficient in key tools such as Microsoft Office, CMS platforms, email platforms, and social scheduling tools
- Analytical mindset with experience using performance tools like Google Analytics
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
