A leading UK law firm is seeking a highly organised and proactive Practice Assistant to join its Real Estate team. This is a confidential opportunity to work within a progressive, people-focused environment that values flexibility, wellbeing, and professional development.
The Role
Acting as a central point of contact for fee earners, you will take ownership of workflow management, ensuring tasks are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. You’ll play a key role in supporting client relationships, coordinating administrative processes, and maintaining exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Relationship Management
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Handle client queries and communications professionally
- Support business development activities, pitches, and client events
- Maintain CRM systems and ensure client data accuracy
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage document production, formatting, and quality control
- Oversee file opening/closing, compliance, and record-keeping
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, travel, and events
- Assist with Land Registry applications, searches, and SDLT processes
- Maintain data rooms and case management systems
- Communication & Team Support
- Act as a key liaison for fee earners and clients
- Manage inboxes, calls, and correspondence proactively
- Support team coordination, meetings, and workflow distribution
- Financial & Billing Support
- Assist with billing processes, credit control, and expense management
- Ensure accuracy in time recording, disbursements, and financial admin
- Support WIP certification and transactional processes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Exposure to Real Estate work (desirable)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Confident communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach
