Salary: £32,000 basic + £7,200 car allowance + uncapped commission

OTE: £80,000 - £100,000+

Macildowie are working exclusively with this fast-growing client based in Nottingham to recruit a Business Development Manager for an international SaaS business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised software business that provides market-leading tech solutions to the professional services sector across the UK and internationally. With continued growth plans and significant investment into the sales function, the business is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven individual to join their expanding team.

The role will suit someone with previous B2B sales, SaaS sales or business development experience who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities and managing the full sales cycle. You’ll be responsible for prospecting and generating new business opportunities, qualifying leads, conducting software demonstrations and closing deals with legal professionals and business owners. This is a consultative sales environment where understanding client challenges and positioning software solutions effectively is key. Full product training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and win new business opportunities across your territory
  • Carry out outbound prospecting activity including cold calling and business development outreach
  • Conduct online and face-to-face software demonstrations
  • Build strong relationships with legal professionals and key decision makers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
  • Maintain and manage a structured sales pipeline through Salesforce
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop territory strategies
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity

What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years’ minimum experience within sales or business development (whilst SaaS/Tech experience may be useful it is NOT a must-have)
  • Confident communicator who can engage senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working within a target-driven environment
  • Strong relationship building and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a resilient and proactive mindset
  • Experience within recruitment, estate agency, software sales or other consultative sales environments would be advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
