Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with a large, complex organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established HR function, working as the dedicated Employee Relations Advisor within the team. Reporting into and supporting three Employee Relations Business Partners, you will play a key role in managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters, with a particular focus on sickness absence management.

This role would suit an experienced ER professional who enjoys providing pragmatic, people-focused advice and is confident managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will:

  • Manage a caseload of lower-level employee relations matters from start to finish.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on sickness absence management and attendance-related issues.
  • Support Employee Relations Managers with a range of employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policy and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce associated documentation.
  • Build effective relationships with managers, providing commercially balanced and practical HR advice.
  • Contribute to a consistent and positive employee relations service across the organisation.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar HR role with a strong employee relations focus.
  • Proven experience managing lower-level employee relations casework, particularly sickness absence management.
  • Experience working within a medium to large, complex organisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous but is not essential.
