Macildowie Procurement has recently partnered with a growing organisation in Leicestershire to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager.

The key objective is to lead on sourcing in the In-Direct categories such as material handling equipment, cleaning services, utilities and warehouse racking equipment.

  • Identify and evaluate global suppliers for our clients In-direct commodities.
  • Prepare and manage RFPs, incorporating detailed specifications, contract terms and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to create robust contracts, define SLAs and establish KPIs to drive supplier accountability.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and manage operational and strategic reviews.
  • Oversee purchase order accuracy, invoice processing and budget preparation.
  • Mitigate risk in the supply chain through dual sourcing, buffer stock agreements and identifying alternative solutions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and deliver supplier and inventory reports for stakeholders.
  • Support strategic supplier relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services.
  • Lead on supplier development plans for addressing under-performance, ensure a professional approach to sourcing, and conduct benchmarking analysis and market testing for key clients.

Previous background working in Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement positions in 3PL or Warehouse environments.

Experience in In-Direct categories such as material handling equipment, cleaning services, utilities and warehouse racking equipment.

Commercial acumen with the ability to lead a procurement team.

Experience managing global procurement requirements.

Able to travel to Leicester.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.

25 days holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays.
