Job Description

Interim Commercial Finance Manager – Hybrid (1-2 days on-site) – Northamptonshire

Macildowie are working with this Northamptonshire based client who are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join their finance function.

This is an interim position to support the team through a period of transition. The role will report directly into the Head of Finance and provide both financial oversight and strategic support across the business.

What you'll do

  • Prepare full management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Present financial performance and insight to senior leadership.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for Directors and Managers.
  • Manage VAT and compliance obligations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements in processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Liaise with and support wider finance team as required.

  • Proven experience producing management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • A background in a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience improving financial systems and processes.
  • Advanced IT and financial systems knowledge.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
