Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function whilst building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The Role
- Processing supplier invoices on a daily basis
- Managing and responding to purchase ledger queries in a timely manner
- Liaising with service and project teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Managing the purchase ledger inbox
- Handling supplier queries via telephone and email
- Completing statement reconciliations
- Conducting monthly debit balance reviews
- Supporting other purchase ledger entities during holiday periods
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
About You
- A minimum of 3 years' experience within a purchase ledger role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills with a confident telephone manner
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Xero and/or Simpro would be advantageous, although not essential
