We are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a group finance function on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a varied role which will start by supporting the Technical Accounting team, before transitioning to assist the Group Reporting team.
Technical Accounting Support
- Support an integration project, with an emphasis on technical accounting.
- Draft and model papers for the Audit Committee, including complex transactions and IFRS 15 contract reviews.
- Maintain and update group accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to divisional and central finance teams.
- Lead impairment reviews and contribute to developments in IFRS and UK GAAP.
Group Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statement notes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and audit major joint venture and subsidiary accounts.
- Liaise with local finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Strong IFRS expertise, with experience in audit and financial governance.
- Previous experience drafting papers for audit committee.
- Proven experience in external statutory reporting and accounting.
- Previous exposure to listed group reporting is desirable.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative approach.
- Available at short notice and able to work in the office 3 days a week.
- Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
