Job Description
Macildowie are working with this client based in Bridgeport to recruit a Caretaker on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that prides itself on high standards of presentation, safety and facilities management.As Caretaker, you will be responsible for the maintenance, presentation and security of the site buildings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for all building users, while also managing bookings and supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of the site.Key Responsibilities include:Maintaining health and safety standards, including fire alarm testing and accident reportingOverseeing security procedures and ensuring the safe operation of building systemsCarrying out emergency and routine maintenance tasksSupervising contractors and liaising with external parties for defect rectificationSupporting facilities bookings and providing access to usersManaging stock levels and ensuring efficient use of resourcesAbout You:Strong knowledge of health and safety legislationExperience in building maintenance, caretaking and securityUnderstanding of boiler plant operation and heating systemsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work unsociable hours as requiredExcellent communication and customer service skillsThis role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in ensuring the safety, efficiency and smooth running of a busy site.
