We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join a well-established and growing organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytically minded professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights and partnering with marketing and commercial teams to drive business performance.
This role will play a key part in supporting marketing and customer insight initiatives, helping stakeholders make informed decisions through high-quality reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
The Role
Working closely with Marketing, Insights, E-commerce, and senior business stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering meaningful analysis across customer behaviour, campaign performance, segmentation, and commercial performance. You will use SQL, Power BI, and Excel to build reporting solutions, automate manual processes, and provide insights that influence business strategy and marketing effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing marketing campaign performance, ROI, customer engagement, and channel effectiveness
- Producing customer segmentation and behavioural analysis to support targeted marketing activity
- Creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions
- Extracting, transforming, and validating data using SQL
- Supporting customer insight initiatives, customer journey analysis, and loyalty programmes
- Providing data and reporting to support strategic marketing and customer experience projects
- Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Improving reporting efficiency through automation and reusable datasets
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have strong analytical and reporting skills combined with experience working with marketing or customer data. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders across the business and explaining the story behind the numbers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Marketing Analyst, Customer Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar analytical role
- Experience working with marketing data, campaign performance data, customer insight, CRM data, or customer behaviour analysis
- Strong SQL skills, including querying, joining, transforming, and validating data
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas
- Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development, data modelling, and DAX
- Ability to translate business questions into actionable insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Experience
- Customer segmentation and audience analysis
- Campaign performance and ROI analysis
- Customer journey, loyalty, or customer experience analytics
- Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud data platforms
- Experience within retail, distribution, e-commerce, trade, or multi-site environments
