Salary: c£30,000 - £32,000 FTE (pro rata)

Hours: ~22.5 hours per week (flexible across 3, 4, or 5 days)

We’re working with a well-established business in NW Leicestershire who are looking to bring in a part-time Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in finance who is looking for flexibility while maintaining exposure to month-end and management accounts activity.

The Role

You’ll support the finance function across a range of month-end and reporting activities, including:

  • Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with management accounts processes
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Maintaining and reconciling central overheads
  • Producing ad hoc financial reports
  • Supporting statutory and survey reporting (e.g. ONS returns)
  • Reviewing stock balances and financial data integrity
  • Processing journals and assisting with month-end close
