Finance Manager
East Leicestershire/Rutland
£50,000-£60,000 per annum + Benefits
Macildowie are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in East Leicestershire.
This is a senior, site-based finance role with responsibility for leading the finance function and working closely with the wider management team. You’ll provide clear financial insight, challenge operational performance and help shape the future direction of the site.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the site finance team and manage the delivery of accurate month-end reporting
- Prepare management accounts, KPI reporting and monthly performance commentary
- Present financial results to the senior management team
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Analyse profitability across customers, products and operational activity
- Manage standard costing and maintain accurate financial information within the ERP system
- Monitor working capital, stock, debtors and cash performance
- Act as the main point of contact for the annual audit
- Support capital investment proposals and maintain oversight of fixed assets
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial understanding and decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and overall business efficiency
- Support the development and implementation of site strategy
- Develop the finance team and promote a collaborative, high-performing culture
About you
You will ideally be a qualified accountant, although candidates who are qualified by experience or part qualified with the relevant experience, will also be considered.
You’ll also need:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment
- Strong management accounting and commercial finance experience
- A good understanding of costing, stock and operational performance
- The confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Previous experience of leading and developing a finance team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with a genuine interest in the wider business
- The ability to balance detailed financial control with forward-looking commercial support
