Macildowie are working with a leading client based in Nottingham to recruit an experienced Sales & Growth Lead for an established organisation operating within the UK financial services sector. This is a senior commercial opportunity for somebody who knows the UK consumer lending market inside out and understands how to generate profitable growth across direct, broker, aggregator and intermediary channels. You'll take ownership of front-book sales performance, customer acquisition and channel profitability, combining commercial strategy with hands-on partner management. You'll also have significant scope to influence pricing, proposition development and the wider D2C growth strategy.

The Role

Working within the B2C commercial function, you'll play a key role in translating wider growth strategy into commercial results within the UK market. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning front-book sales performance and profitability across UK consumer lending products
  • Driving customer acquisition across direct digital, broker, aggregator and intermediary channels
  • Developing and optimising relationships with key brokers, aggregators and strategic partners
  • Improving digital conversion and customer acquisition performance across web and app channels
  • Using pricing and other commercial levers to improve front-book profitability and operating margin
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and leading annual partner contract reviews
  • Using performance data and market insight to identify growth opportunities
  • Monitoring competitor, customer and regulatory developments across UK consumer lending
  • Working closely with credit, pricing, product, marketing and operations teams
  • Representing the UK market within wider strategic D2C initiatives
  • Ensuring sales and partnership activity operates in line with FCA/PRA requirements and customer fairness principles

What We're Looking For

This role requires genuine depth of experience within UK consumer lending rather than broader financial services alone. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience working with brokers, aggregators, partnerships or intermediary channels
  • 3+ years' experience within UK unsecured lending
  • A strong track record of delivering sales growth and commercial performance
  • Experience managing P&L, front-book profitability or comparable commercial performance measures
  • Excellent knowledge of customer acquisition, conversion optimisation and channel performance
  • Strong commercial negotiation and partner management capability
  • Confidence using data to make commercial decisions and communicate performance
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Knowledge of consumer credit pricing and risk/return dynamics
  • A strong understanding of FCA requirements and customer fairness within consumer lending

Why Consider This Role?

This isn't simply an account management position. You'll have genuine ownership of the commercial performance of the UK D2C proposition, with visibility across sales, pricing, credit, product and customer acquisition. You'll contribute to key commercial and governance forums while helping shape how the organisation grows its UK consumer lending proposition. Interested? Click apply today!
