New Unit Business Administrator in Northampton

We are recruiting for a New Business Unit Administrator to join the Risk Management Team of a well-established and growing law firm in Northampton.

This role is ideal for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within legal, compliance and risk, with responsibility for supporting client and matter onboarding and ensuring all regulatory requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new client and matter opening requests.

• Review file opening forms and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Complete AML, CDD, sanctions and conflict checks in line with firm procedures.

• Identify and escalate potential compliance issues.

• Maintain accurate client, matter and compliance records.

• Manage onboarding documentation and ensure information is correctly recorded across systems.

• Act as a key point of contact for fee earners and internal teams regarding onboarding and AML queries.

• Monitor outstanding requirements and follow up where necessary.

• Support process improvements and the continued development of the New Business Unit.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous administration experience.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• An awareness of AML, CDD, sanctions and conflict checking requirements.

• Knowledge of client or matter onboarding processes is desirable.

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant systems.
