Warehouse/Logistics Operations Manager – Up to £60,000 Per Annum

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm - Letchworth Garden City

Macildowie Logistics has partnered with a manufacturing business in Letchworth Garden City to recruit a Warehouse/Logistics Operations Manager.

The key objective is to lead warehouse, inventory and transport operations to deliver continuous improvements in efficiency and performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team, improve processes and work closely with colleagues across Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing of products.
• Monitor and analyse warehouse performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, pick rates, inventory accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain high levels of delivery performance, order accuracy and customer service.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics and relationships with transport providers.
• Use operational data and KPIs to monitor results and identify improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in service, productivity, safety and cost.
• Promote effective use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other technology.
• Maintain stock accuracy, effective warehouse layouts and efficient processes.
• Champion health and safety and build a positive safety culture.
• Maximise floor space and vertical height using proper racking, shelving and storage systems.

The Candidate

• Previous experience operating in a strategic Operations, Logistics, Warehouse Manager roles.
• Familiar with WMS and bar coding systems.
• Able to travel to Letchworth.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and drive standards in the warehouse.
• Exposure to ISO standards.
