Macildowie are working with a client based in Leicester to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for a growing and forward-thinking professional services business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, producing insightful management information and working within a collaborative and ambitious environment.

The role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys variety in their workload and wants to play a key role within a growing finance and business solutions team. You will work closely with a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, supporting them with high-quality management accounting and outsourced finance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
  • Producing financial commentary and analysis to support business decisions
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial projections
  • Reviewing accounting records and processing period-end adjustments
  • Posting journals including payroll, depreciation and accruals
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Supporting bookkeeping activities where required
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting wider business improvement and systems projects

What we are looking for:

  • ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within accounting and bookkeeping
  • Strong experience using finance software and Excel
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
