  • 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
  • Doncaster
  • Salary £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
  • I’m recruiting for a Net Suite Developer to join a manufacturing business that has already implemented Net Suite and is now looking to take the platform to the next level.
  • This is a hands on Net Suite role where you’ll have genuine ownership of the platform and the opportunity to shape how it develops across Finance, Procurement, Sales and Operations.
  • With Net Suite having been in place for just over a year, there is plenty of scope to improve existing processes, introduce automation and get more from the system.
  • For a Net Suite Developer who enjoys being hands on and seeing the impact of their work, there is plenty to get stuck into.
  • Net Suite experience is essential.

Given the six month contract, the business is looking for someone who already knows the platform, can quickly understand the existing environment and start making an impact.

  • Manufacturing sector experience is also important.

You’ll need to understand the operational challenges that come with a manufacturing environment and be able to translate those challenges into practical Net Suite solutions.

The Role

  • You’ll take ownership of the continued development of the Net Suite platform, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, automate activity and improve the way teams use the system.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing Net Suite functionality across Finance, Procurement, Sales and Operations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve the user experience.
  • Managing system changes through a structured project approach, ensuring stakeholders are informed and users are supported through implementation.
  • Working directly with stakeholders to understand problems and develop practical Net Suite solutions.
  • Understanding how Net Suite interacts with the wider IT environment and how systems and applications such as Click and Power BI feed into and support the platform.
  • Analysing system data to identify inputting, processing and accuracy issues.
  • Developing solutions that reduce errors and improve data quality.
  • Supporting the continued development of Net Suite knowledge across the business.
  • Creating and delivering training materials and sessions for system users.
  • Taking ownership of ad hoc system issues and identifying longer term improvements.

What we're looking for

  • Net Suite experience is the critical requirement.
  • You’ll need proven commercial experience working specifically as a Net Suite Developer.
  • Strong practical experience developing and improving Net Suite functionality.
  • Manufacturing sector experience, with an understanding of the operational challenges and processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • A broad understanding of IT and how different systems and applications integrate with and support Net Suite.

Experience with technologies such as Click and Power BI would be valuable.

  • You’ll be naturally inquisitive and comfortable challenging the status quo.

Rather than simply accepting that something has always been done a certain way, you’ll ask questions, understand the underlying problem and look for better ways of working.

  • Experience working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement system changes.
  • Experience of project management and leading teams through system implementation or change projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain system changes clearly to different audiences.
  • A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification is desirable.

Why this role?

  • Net Suite has only been in place for just over a year, so there is significant scope to develop the platform and improve how it is used across the business.
  • You’ll have genuine ownership of the system and the opportunity to identify where Net Suite can automate activity, remove duplication and create more consistent processes across the organisation.
  • The business is looking for someone who will challenge existing processes, ask the right questions and drive positive, impactful change rather than simply maintain the status quo.
  • This is an opportunity for an experienced Net Suite Developer with manufacturing experience and a broad IT understanding to come in and make an immediate difference during a period of continued system development.
