Macildowie are working with this client based in Birmingham to recruit a highly experienced and professional Personal Assistant to the CEO on a maternity cover contract. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a fantastic opportunity to support the CEO and Executive Team of a high-profile, purpose-driven organisation. The role is office-based with hybrid flexibility, providing high-level confidential personal assistance, governance support, and coordination of key organisational activities.

The Role:
As Personal Assistant to the CEO, you will be the linchpin of the Executive Office, handling complex diary and travel arrangements, managing documentation, supporting Board and Committee meetings, and representing the CEO internally and externally. You will also provide occasional support to Trustees and the wider Executive Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-level PA support to the CEO, including email management, diary scheduling, and inbox triage
- Preparation and coordination of board and committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and actions
- Acting as a gatekeeper and ambassador for the CEO and Executive Team
- Managing correspondence, filing systems, and maintaining GDPR compliance
- Booking travel, organising events, preparing documentation and reports
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Trustees
- Supporting governance processes and working closely with legal advisors when needed
About You:
- You must have governance experience
- Recent PA or Executive Assistant experience at Board or CEO level
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and organisational ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and online content platforms
- Comfortable handling governance documentation and liaising at senior level
- Able to make informed decisions in the absence of the CEO
