The role: People Support Advisor
Location: Atherstone
Salary: £33,250 – £35,000pa
Hours: Monday to Friday – 35 hours per week on-site, flexi working.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our client\’s team as a People Support Advisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operations by managing employee relations cases/processes, including absence, capability, disciplinary, and grievances, ensuring successful resolution.
- Prepare letters and relevant documentation for HR processes.
- Provide regular updates to the HR Manager and escalate complex or high-risk cases.
- Support employees and managers with day-to-day HR inquiries.
- Monitor and record absences for review and action as needed, including arranging and managing Occupational Health referrals.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to team members and managers on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist the HR Manager with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Contribute to HR initiatives, including wellbeing, diversity, equality, inclusion, and employee engagement projects.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have a friendly and professional approach, with a passion for working with people.
- Have proven experience in managing complex Employee Relations cases, from start to resolution.
- Possess good working knowledge of current employment legislation and its application in the workplace.
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, ensuring communications with team members are timely, accurate, and in line with best practices.
- Ideally be CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards this, or have relevant experience in a previous HR role.
- Be computer literate and comfortable with Word and Excel.
