Macildowie's Public Sector team are delighted to be working with a large school in Staffordshire to appoint a new Head of Finance and Operations.

About the Role:

As an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will support the Headteacher and CFO in strategic planning, budget setting and management as well as having operational oversight. You'll lead finance, ICT, estates, procurement, health & safety, and delivery of major building projects. You'll also nurture and develop your operations team in a collaborative environment.

About You:

  • CCAB qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA), qualified by experience or possess a degree in relevant discipline
  • Proven experience controlling significant budgets in education or not-for-profit, charity or public/regulatory sectors
  • Leadership of finance and operational teams, strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder skills
  • Competence in financial compliance as well as team management
  • Resilient multi-tasker and strong team motivator
