Are you a passionate, resilient teacher who believes every child deserves the chance to thrive, whatever challenges they face? Machu Specialist Education is recruiting an SEMH Teacher on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEMH school in Hayes, Middlesex, supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real, lasting difference in a nurturing, trauma-informed school that puts relationships, compassion and high expectations at the heart of everything it does.

THE ROLE

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' EHCP outcomes and individual needs
  • Use trauma-informed, relational approaches to help pupils regulate, re-engage and build confidence
  • Create a calm, structured and predictable classroom that supports positive behaviour and progress
  • Work alongside a supportive team including the SENCO, therapists and allied health professionals
  • Line-manage teaching assistants to maximise outcomes for every pupil in your class

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND or other complex needs
  • A calm, consistent, empathetic approach and genuine passion for inclusive education
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or hold one on the Update Service)
