We are working with a well-regarded provider in the UK complex care sector to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager. This is a senior, field-based role for someone who already understands how referrals move through Continuing Healthcare teams, ICBs, hospital discharge and Case Management and who wants real ownership of a region with the full backing of clinical and operational leadership behind them.
If you have spent the last few years building relationships across CHC teams, brokerages, discharge teams or catastrophic injury Case Managers this will feel like familiar ground.
The role
You will take responsibility for business development predominantly within ICB's and LA's. That means identifying and winning new packages of care, nurturing relationships with commissioners and referrers and acting as the bridge between the people making placement decisions and the clinical team delivering the care.
What you will bring
You have an intimate knowledge of the complex care world and understand the difference between a tracheostomy package and a spinal injury package and you can talk credibly with clinicians, Case Managers and commissioners. You are comfortable carrying a target, are organised enough to manage a pipeline and self-sufficient to run your region without being micromanaged. A genuine and demonstrable track record in complex care with ICB's, LA's or case-managers is a must.
What is on offer
A great base with a commission package on top, full remote working and the autonomy to run your region as your own in a well-funded provider. You will be selling something you can stand behind, supported by leadership who understand that good business development in this sector is built on relationships and outcomes. There is proper scope to shape the role and grow with the organisation as it expands.
