Business Development Manager | Specialist Adult Care | £55,000 to £65,000

Hybrid (home based with regional travel) | Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health

We are working with an established and growing specialist care provider that supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs across residential and supported living services. As the organisation continues to expand its portfolio, it is now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive new placements and build lasting relationships with commissioners and referrers.

This is a genuine new business role for someone who knows how to open doors, win trust and convert opportunities into sustainable occupancy.

The role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the commercial pipeline and be accountable for generating new referrals and placements. You will build and nurture relationships with local authorities, integrated care boards, case managers and other key referrers, positioning the provider as a partner of choice for high quality, person centred support.

Your focus will be on understanding the needs of commissioners, matching them to the right services and managing the referral journey from first conversation through to a successful placement.

What you will bring

Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of winning new clients and placements within the Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health markets. This is essential. We are looking for someone who already understands how these markets are commissioned and who has the established networks and credibility to make an immediate impact.

You will also bring:

  • A consultative, relationship led approach to business development
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage a pipeline with discipline
  • Confidence engaging with commissioners and senior stakeholders
  • A genuine understanding of person centred care and the outcomes that matter to the people being supported

Location and travel

This is a hybrid role with a strong bias towards working from home. You must, however, be able to travel to sites across the East Midlands, East Anglia, Sussex and Buckinghamshire from time to time, so flexibility around occasional regional travel is important.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary of £55,000 to £65,000
  • 28 days annual leave plus an additional day off for your birthday
  • Company pension scheme
  • Life insurance cover of £10,000
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme, including personal, financial and mental health support, plus discounts on brands, restaurants and entertainment

Interested?

If you have the commercial track record and the right market experience, we would love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity in confidence.

Please not we are only able to respond to applicants whose skills and experience match the specification of the role and who are currently living in England.

Many thanks

M
