Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Wednesbury for a CNC Lathe Setter, Programmer, and Operator. The role involves setting up and operating CNC lathe machines, creating accurate programmes based on technical designs, and managing machining operations to meet production specifications. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include reading technical drawings, performing precise programming for CNC lathes, conducting inspections to ensure quality, and performing regular machine maintenance to maintain optimal performance.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in technical drawing and the ability to interpret complex designs.
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC programming and creating precise programmes for manufacturing tasks.
  • Practical skills in machining, milling, and related operations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards in machining operations.
