We are looking for an experienced engineer to work on mainly plant machinery but some agricultural machinery from a plate compactor to a 13T excavator. 50% of work is on site working from a van, the other in our workshops. Work involves servicing, diagnostics and repairs of all plant.
Requirements of Plant/Agricultural Engineer role:
- You will have experience as an engineer or mechanic.
- You will have an understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrics.
- You will have an understanding of modern vehicle computing technology.
- You will have an understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings to assist in procedure for diagnostics.
- You will have at least some welding competence, and a willingness to undertake professional training.
- You will have fantastic attention to detail and will check measurements and dimensions of each piece thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
- You will be competent in using fabrication machines including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials.
- You will be able to comprehend drawings and work specifications.
- You will be a driven, self-motivated person who is able to plan, prioritise and manage their own workload.
- You will be confident in your own abilities and decision-making.
- You will be an enthusiastic team-player.
- You will have a current driving license. A forklift license is desirable.
