As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support and manage our financial operations.
The accountant will oversee the full spectrum of financial activities, including bookkeeping, reporting, payroll, VAT, and supplier payments. The role suits someone confident in managing end-to-end finance functions within a small but dynamic retail business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero (or similar software)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and payment platforms
- Prepare monthly management accounts and track key retail performance indicators
- Administer payroll and pension contributions
- Monitor inventory costs and margin performance across brands
- Forecast cash flow and assist in budgeting and cost analysis
- Liaise with external accountants for year-end accounts and statutory filings
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and recommend process improvements
Qualifications:
- AAT qualified or equivalent; ACCA/CIMA part- or fully-qualified is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in fashion or retail
- Proficient in accounting systems such as Xero and Excel
- Able to work independently and communicate financial insights effectively
- Mandarin-speaking preferred (spoken and written)
- Experience in the fashion industry or multi-brand retail environment
- Familiarity with Shopify and inventory/stock management
- Understanding of international payments and multi-currency reconciliation
Working Hours: Flexible – part-time or full-time
