What You'll Do: Reporting to the senior engineer, the vacancy will require the candidate to:
- Set up, run and adjust conventional and CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding) to produce complex parts
- Read and analyse engineering drawings, specifications, and digital work instructions
- Measure finished parts using precision equipment like micrometres and vernier callipers to ensure correct tolerances
- Select, secure, and monitor cutting tools and work-holding devices
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Perform daily safety checks
- Follow strict health and safety protocols
Training Outcome: Full-time CNC/conventional machinist role is available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
