Mach Tech, the sole UK & Ireland distributor of Lindner shredders, is looking for an experienced full-time Plant Fitter to join our growing engineering team.
Based from our site in Shaw, Lancashire, the successful applicant will work on the award-winning range of Lindner mobile shredders, supporting customers across the UK & Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company operating within the waste and recycling industry, working with industry-leading equipment and major brands.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintenance of heavy plant and recycling equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Mechanical repairs and breakdown support
- Working on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical systems
- Workshop-based engineering and on-site customer support across the UK & Ireland
Qualifications
- Have previous experience working as a Plant Fitter or Heavy Plant Engineer
- Be confident working across diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical engineering
- Have a flexible approach with a strong CAN DO attitude
- Be able to manage their time effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Be capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Be willing to undertake other reasonable duties when required
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Experience working on recycling machinery or heavy plant equipment would be advantageous.
