Location: Northwich, CW9
Immediate start. No experience needed.
Shifts are 4 on 4 off, 2 days of 7am-7pm, 2 nights of 7pm to 7am.
Pay rates: £12.71 - £15.89 (Overtime Available). Temp to perm.
Mach Recruitment is recruiting for several Skilled Food Production Operatives to work in a large food production and distribution site in Northwich.
The Role:
- Assess own area of work for risks/hazards ensuring H&S processes and procedures are being observed.
- General production operation of a wide range of equipment (role specific) across the operation to deliver site standard and achieve the overall production plan.
- Machine set up, routine maintenance and first line troubleshooting in order to ensure machinery runs to its optimum (Bakery Specific).
- Capable of working in small teams to achieve quality products and meet production targets.
- Quality checks to deliver product quality to required standards.
- Food safety compliance, process control paperwork which includes traceability, CCP (critical control points) documentation.
- Adjusting line operation for changes in product.
- General hygiene, ensuring high standards of hygiene on plant and surrounding areas.
- Participate and contribute in the sharing of Best Practice involvement in identifying/implementing Continuous Improvement techniques to generate process improvements.
- Adhere to SOPs, CICs, SSOWs, WIs, procedures and risk assessments.
- Full knowledge of manual handling requirements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a good level of Health and Food Safety awareness.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to follow instructions and to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- One year's experience in a manufacturing organisation, preferably food or similar with a willingness to work across a flexible shift pattern.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team and understand the importance of teamwork and communication.
- You will have a good attention to detail, with problem solving/decision-making capability skills.
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Computer literate including SAP knowledge / Stevens system.
- Advantageous to have a good understanding of the Baking Process.
