My client a successful and well-respected food manufacturer in Leeds are seeking a Specifications Technologist to join their Technical department, you will take a key role in supporting the New Product Development Team and Technical teams to ensure product specifications and information is correct
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure due diligence and take into consideration timescales, company procedures, legislation, and customer codes of practice
- Ensuring that correct technical information is on correct packaging
- Attendance at customer meetings
- To ensure you keep up to date with current legislation and company policies
- Ensuring that raw materials specifications are assessed according to standards
- Reviewing analytical data
- Be compliant with customer requirements
- Support to production to provide solutions
Skills and experience
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP and hygiene
- Basic understanding of Microbiology and Nutrition
- Minimum 2 years experience within Food Manufacturing
- Experience working with major retailers
