Overview

Production Team Leader (PM). A successful and well respected food manufacturer near Manchester seeks a Shift Production Team Leader/Supervisor to oversee daily production within a fast paced site. You will report to the Shift Manager and be responsible for all operations and execution of the plan to produce high quality products in line with customer demand, while adhering to on-site health and safety standards. You will be a confident, people‑focused leader with excellent communication skills, capable of developing and directing teams. You will be KPI focussed based on safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and people development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead daily production activities within a fast paced food manufacturing site.
  • Ensure operations align with the production plan and customer demand.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety on site.
  • Lead, develop and manage production teams to achieve targets.
  • Communicate effectively with the Shift Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Focus on KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and people development.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Uses own initiative with good time management.
  • Strong and confident leader with a track record of delivering targets.
  • Quality focused with good attention to detail and numbers.
  • Able to implement and manage change; good decision making and problem solving.
  • IT literate with a good understanding of manufacturing processes, procedures and technical knowledge.

Role Details

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm.
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days holiday, plus 8 days bank holiday.
