Our client, a successful FMCG business, is seeking an IT Support Engineer to support for an 18+ months period (maternity cover) supporting the IT infrastructure and services used across all company sites, ensuring its integrity, efficiency, availability, and security. Reports directly to the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced and high-quality IT user support
- Proactive and reactive IT system maintenance
- 3rd line hands-on role with an interesting variety of enterprise hardware and software
Experience:
- Several years of experience gained in desktop and server environments within medium-sized business environments
- Support Windows workstations, HP network equipment, HP Servers, Virtualisation environments (Hyper-V and VMWare), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise Wi-Fi, Cloud Services
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills across a range of common network, server, client workstation, and software products
- Evaluation, testing, and review of new IT infrastructure and systems, policies, and processes
- Assisting/supporting internal customers with IT support queries
Skills Required:
- Degree or higher-level qualification
- Business or Engineering background/understanding is highly advantageous
- Interest in Manufacturing
- Strong IT and Excel skills, understand and interpret IT and business systems
- Excellent communication skills, educate and influence
The Role:
- 8.30am β 4.30pm or 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday
- Salary - depending on experience
- Pension
- On-site parking
